Biography: Assistant District Attorney, Harris County, 1986-88; DeGuerin & Dickson, 1988-98; Law Office of Chris Flood, 1998-99; Flood & Flood, 1999-present. After a ten-year association with Houston’s famed Dick DeGuerin, which included representation of David Koresh and the Branch Davidians, Chris Flood started his firm as a sole practitioner in 1998.

His first victory came swiftly – a mistrial and dismissal of charges for his doctor client in a five-month, multi-defendant federal trial known as the “Spring Shadows Glen case.” Since then, his victories have remained constant and his firm has grown.

In 2001 Chris successfully represented a member of the “Jacob Orgad” organization accused of manufacturing and distributing approximately 80% of the world’s supply of “Ecstasy.” Chris has represented defendants in both state and federal courts throughout the United States and has enjoyed a number of acquittals and dismissals in multi-defendant large-scale narcotics allegations, murder, aggravated assault, theft, and various environmental crimes.

Chris’ practice has recently focused on federal white-collar cases. Current clients include numerous energy traders across the country in investigations, indictments and civil litigation involving alleged false reports to trade publications to manipulate the price of natural gas. Chris also represents Gary Kaplan, lead defendant in a multi-count RICO conspiracy indictment, who is accused of operating the world’s largest internet gambling corporation. Chris also represents several prominent Mexican citizens in their attempts to avoid extradition to Mexico on politically motivated charges brought by the administration of former president of Mexico Vicente Fox.

Media appearances have included NBC’s Dateline, ABC Evening News, CBS National News, as well as the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and The Houston Chronicle.
