After working as an intern at both Nueces County District Attorney’s Office and Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Charles Flood went to work for criminal defense attorney Dick DeGuerin. In his 20 years as a criminal defense attorney and 18 years at Flood & Flood, Charles has handled hundreds of cases in state and federal courts across the country. Charles has personally tried cases and won acquittals in misdemeanor and felony cases in state court and federal courts. Charles has successfully represented clients in federal cases and investigations in California, Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Mississippi, Illinois and Texas.

Charles Flood has successfully represented individuals and corporations accused of federal charges including money laundering, healthcare fraud, bankruptcy fraud, mortgage fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud, bank robbery, sex crimes, environmental crimes, and narcotics distribution both nationally and internationally.

Charles also represents individuals and corporations being investigated for crimes committed in foreign countries in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Recently, Charles won an acquittal in federal court for an individual charged with federal firearms offenses and unlawful purchasing of semi-automatic firearms parts.

Charles has successfully represented hundreds of clients in state cases throughout Texas in allegations ranging from driving while intoxicated to aggravated assault and large scale narcotics distribution.
